Although during spring and summer the markets are full of fresh fruits and vegetables, I sometimes like to nibble on dried figs, apricots and plums – and I usually have some at home. This dessert was created one afternoon when I really felt like eating something sweet quickly, you know those moments….
It is ideal when some guests suddenly appear because it’s over in 15 minutes and can be immediately eaten. No refrigeration, no squeezing, and there is actually not a rule about the ingredients (maybe cause I made them up? :). At home I had dried apricots and figs, si I made the sauce using them, but I believe that it would be nice with dates, prunes or raisins, why not. The cream can also work in combination with fresh fruit or a cooked sauce with, say, strawberries.

- 200 g cottage cheese
- 100 ml whipped cream
- 1 vanilla sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 5 dried apricots
- 5 dried figs
- 1/2 tablespoons honey
- a sprinkle of cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 tablespoons water
- Beat the whipped cream and mix with the other ingredients. Pour into bowls or cups.
- Cut the apricots and figs into small pieces. Put them in a bowl with the other ingredients and cook over low heat until they soften and create a thick sauce, about 10 minutes. If necessary, add water and stir.
- Let the sauce cool down a little, so that it is just warm. Pour over cream. You can serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator. Bon appetit!
